This apparatus features a well-balanced, machined aluminum disc that rotates smoothly around its axis and is securely mounted in a vertical plane on a tripod support. The disc operates on a ball bearing and has several holes symmetrically arranged in concentric rings of specific sizes. Four pins with scale pans can be inserted into these holes at any angle. The setup also includes a plumb line, a horizontally graded mirror scale, a leveling screw, two side pulleys, and four scale pans.
