This metallic self-contained apparatus is ideal for demonstrating the efficiency of a worm and worm wheel. It features a 25 cm diameter machine-cut worm gear, which carries a 12 cm diameter metal drum, along with a machine-cut worm on a steel spindle that holds a 12 cm diameter pulley. The entire setup is securely mounted on a sturdy cast iron wall bracket. The unit comes complete with an effort pulley, string, and hooks, but is supplied without weights.
