Measuring liquid flow is important in many situations for different purposes. The type of flow meter used depends on factors such as system conditions, the required accuracy, the skill of the operator, and the cost considerations. This unit displays several different types of flow measurement devices.

Experimental objective

Each flow measurement device will be evaluated by comparing its results with the standard method of measuring flow rate using a catch tank and stopwatch.

Specifications

·        Flow Measurement Devices: Integrating-type turbine flow meter, glass tube rotameter, orifice meter with differential manometer, and Venturi meter.

·        Measurement Tools: Measuring tank, digital stopwatch, and differential manometer.

·        Pump: ½ HP Monoblock pump for water circulation.

·        Sump Tank: Adequate capacity for continuous operation.

·       Documentation: Supplied with a technical manual.

Utilities required other than above supply 

The flow surface measures 2mtrs by 1meter with a height of 1.5mtrs. 

It is powered by a 230volt, 5amp stabilized AC power supply.
