This setup is designed to study pressure losses in different pipe fittings. It includes a ball valve, a gate valve, a half bend, an elbow, and fittings that create sudden expansion and contraction from 15 mm to 25 mm. Pressure tapping points are provided at the inlet and outlet of each fitting to measure pressure changes. A differential manometer is used to find the pressure loss across each fitting. The system is a complete, self-contained water recirculating unit with a sump tank, a centrifugal pump, and all necessary components. Flow control and bypass valves are installed in the water line to carry out experiments at different flow rates. The water flow rate is measured using a measuring tank and a stopwatch.
