The device is made out of two M.S. plates, Bakelite, brass, and aluminium. A composite wall is created by these plates arranged in sequence on either side of the heater. The entire piece is secured in a frame that is visible through the Perspex sheet. We can determine the conductivity and resistance of the composite walls thanks to the thermocouple tapings.

Experimental objectives

• To determine total thermal resistance and thermal conductivity of composite wall.
