The device aids in calibrating a
thermocouple for a temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees Celsius. The
thermocouple is first submerged in ice for 0Q C and then in hot water for 100°C
while being calibrated. This is repeated until a linear calibration is achieved
and the thermocouple displays the true temperature of ice (0° C) and boiling
wafer (100°C). To determine the corresponding voltage, a mV metre is offered.
