This
setup is made to help students and users understand how a jet pump works and
how well it performs. It includes a Monoblock jet pump that is connected to an
electric motor. The system has a supply tank, a measuring tank, and pipes that
allow oil to circulate in a closed loop. To check the pressure levels, pressure
and vacuum gauges are placed on both the delivery and suction sides of the
pump. The amount of water flowing through the system is measured using the
measuring tank along with a stopwatch.
Experimental Objective
Determine the overall efficiency and pump efficiency of the jet
pump.
Plot graphs of head versus discharge and pump efficiency versus
discharge.
