The
Reciprocating Pump Test Setup is designed to help study the performance of a
reciprocating pump. It includes a reciprocating pump connected to an electric
motor, along with a supply tank, measuring tank, and all necessary pipe
fittings for a closed loop water circulation system. To measure pressure and
vacuum, gauges are installed on both the delivery and suction sides of the
pump. The water flow rate is measured using the provided measuring tank and
stopwatch.
Experimental Objective
Determine the overall efficiency and pump efficiency of the reciprocating pump.
Plot head versus discharge and pump efficiency versus discharge curves.
