This
Submersible Pump Test Rig is designed to help study the working and performance
of a submersible pump. It includes a submersible pump connected to an electric
motor, along with a supply tank, a measuring tank, and pipe fittings arranged
in a closed loop for water circulation. To measure pressure, both pressure and
vacuum gauges are installed on the pump’s delivery and suction sides. The
amount of water flow is calculated using the measuring tank and a stopwatch
provided with the setup. This system is ideal for learning how submersible
pumps work in a simple and practical way.
Experimental Objective
Determine the overall efficiency and pump efficiency of the submersible pump.
Plot graphs of head versus discharge and pump efficiency versus discharge.
