The equipment's purpose is to investigate the cam profiles and follower system performance. The device comprises of a shaft supported by ball bearings that can accommodate three different types of cams. There are three various sorts of followers that the push rod for the follower can adopt, and it is supported vertically. It is simple to switch out followers and cams. The cam is turned by a variable speed motor. With the aid of a dial gauge, follower displacement in relation to cam position can be plotted. Jump speed can be determined and the impact of weight and spring force on jump speed explored by operating the system at various speeds.
