This board illustrates the process of cutting involute gear teeth with a rack type cutter. It includes three white acrylic discs (A, B, and C) with pitch circle diameters of 450 mm, 300 mm, and 200 mm, respectively. By placing a piece of paper between the disc and the cutter, a gear tooth profile with a 25 mm module can be traced. The traced profiles allow the study of the effects of interference and undercutting on the accuracy of the gear tooth profile.
