This instrument features a spiral casing that contains an impeller, which is driven by a variable speed DC motor. The device includes three interchangeable impellers, with radial forward and backward curved vanes. The speed of the impeller is displayed digitally. The outflow is measured at a given effort. As a result, students can assess the performance of different impellers at various speeds.
