The device's rotary vane compressor is propelled by an electric motor. A pressure gauge measures discharge pressure, while an orifice metre and a manometer measure air input. Using an energymeter, compressor power input is calculated. The volumetric efficiency, power requirements, and free air discharge of the compressor can all be calculated by the students as a result.
