When solar cell is exposed  to  sunlight it converts solar energy into electrical energy, which in turn energies the motor and thus conversion of solar energy into electromechanical energy.  This is a great introduction into the workings and benefits of solar energy and it is a fun and educational experiment  for the classroom.
