Newton Second Law of Motion Apparatus is a physics demonstration model used to study motion, force, and the independence of horizontal and vertical components of velocity. It provides a clear classroom demonstration of how a body can move horizontally while falling vertically under gravity.The apparatus consists of a spring-loaded steel rod mounted between two brackets on a metal base. It is supplied with one solid steel sphere and one steel sphere with a central hole that slides over the rod. The spring is compressed using a handle, which can be locked at two different positions to provide two potential energy levels.


When the handle is released, the compressed spring gives horizontal velocity to one sphere, while the other sphere falls vertically from rest. Both spheres reach the ground at the same time, showing that horizontal motion does not affect vertical motion. This apparatus is suitable for mechanics experiments in schools, colleges, and educational physics laboratories.
