The Poiseuille’s Viscosity Apparatus is a precision physics laboratory setup used to determine the coefficient of viscosity of liquids by Poiseuille’s method. It is designed to demonstrate the flow of liquid through a fine capillary tube under a measurable pressure difference.The apparatus consists of a fine-bore capillary tube mounted on a wooden board provided with levelling screws for accurate alignment. The capillary tube is connected through rubber tubing to two upright L-shaped borosilicate glass tubes, which act as a manometer for measuring the pressure difference across the flowing liquid.

A pinch cock is provided to control the flow rate and maintain steady liquid flow during the experiment. Supplied complete with a three-limbed constant level metal tank on a stand and capillary tube, this apparatus is suitable for schools, colleges, universities, and educational physics laboratories.
